In this 3-month course, students will learn the art of communication using theatre techniques. This course will introduce the learners to the essentials of public speaking—such as speech preparation, public speaking delivery techniques, and audience interaction—while using drama and performance to enhance their skills. Public speaking is a highly valued skill today as it improves the ability to articulate ideas clearly, sharpens critical thinking, and empowers the individual to connect in social and professional settings. At the end of the course, participants will take the LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) examination, and apply their newly developed skill.

Programme Structure:

This is a 3-month programme and will have 12 sessions - each session of 60 minutes per week.
The programme is designed to achieve predetermined objectives which will get covered over the duration of the course.
There is no prerequisite to join the programme - the learner will be grouped with their aged learners.
Certification from London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (in Public Speaking) on successful completion of the examination.
Students are grouped age-wise to ensure age-appropriate learning. Each batch has up to 15 students led by 1 expert facilitator.

Programme Calendar - January to March:

Since this is a short programme, we recommend that you only sign up if you will be present for all the sessions. Our calendar is set in advance and will not change but for unavoidable circumstances or emergencies - please go through the calendar before committing to the programme.

Fees:

Fees vary depending on the level / age of the student. Please check this with the enrolment team by filling up the registration form or write to us with your query.

No make up turns, if the student misses a session. Programme calendar is shared to help plan your other commitments.
We will not be able to reschedule milestone events and exams - please refer to the calendar in advance.
No refunds.
Parents or guardians are not allowed to sit in class / observe.
For this level, in case the student does not settle in the classroom after a couple of sessions, we may recommend the student to join us later when they are more comfortable and prepared for group classes. Fees, if paid, will be refunded in this case.
Student cannot change their batch in the middle of the programme / attend a session in another batch in case of absence - as every cohort has a unique dynamic that is to be maintained.
There is no parking, or waiting area at the centres. Please arrange for a guardian to drop and pick up the student from the centre, we will not be able to drop / walk the student outside the centre.

At what age can I enrol my child? Are there any prerequisites?
This course is appropriate for students in school grade 4 and above. Students are grouped with peers of their age and level of development.

How long is the programme?
This is a 3 month programme with 12 sessions. The classes are held once a week for one hour —same time every week. You will receive a calendar at the time of enrolment to help plan your schedule.

Can I join the programme after the start date?
Since this is a short programme, we do not take new students once the course has started. However, you may get added to our waitlist so that you can join the next cohort.

What if the student misses a session?
We do not offer make up turns. The onus of missed learning is on the student. Their facilitator will assist them to help catch up.

What happens after completion of the programme?
After completion, the student may enrol to the next level and continue to develop the skills.

What is the fee for this programme?
Please reach out to our enrolment team for fee details, as they differ based on levels. Our programme fee does not include the cost for LAMDA examination and certiﬁcation. No refunds once enrolled.

Can the parent / guardian sit in the classroom?
We do not permit parents / guardians to sit in the classroom or observe from outside the classroom, as this is a safe space for children to explore and work with the teacher and their peers. You may reach out to the faculty for any concerns throughout the year.
